Populism and Foreign Policy at the EWIS Workshops
On 6-9 July, Sandra Destradi participated in the workshop ‘Populism in International Relations: Moving beyond Borders and Levels of Analysis’ at EWIS in Thessaloniki. She presented a paper on the centralization and personalization of foreign policy under populist governments.
Workshop “Populism, Political Communication and Performative Leadership in International Politics”
On 4 May 2022, Johannes Plagemann and Sandra Destradi participated in the workshop ‘Populism, Political Communication and Performative Leadership in International Politics’and presented a paper on populist foreign policy rhetoric in India, Turkey, the Philippines and Italy.
New Article in the British Journal of Politics and International Relations
In their new article titled ‘Populism and the Politicization of Foreign Policy’ (co-authored with Hakki Tas) in the British Journal of Politics and International Relations, Sandra Destradi and Johannes Plagemann explore the impact of populism on foreign policy through a comparative lens.
